The Eveline Rivers Coat Project has been serving the Amarillo and surrounding communities since 1979. First assisting only 43 children with warm winter coats, hats, and gloves. The Eveline Rivers Coat Project has grown to serving over 3000, poverty level, homeless or hopeless children stay warm.

Make a Child Smile, Inc., the organization more commonly known as “The Eveline Rivers Project” are focusing their efforts, from “want to need,” in order to improve their impact on the Amarillo community.
One of the most well known aspects of the project is the toy delivery at Christmas time. This part of the project will no longer be part of the organization’s efforts.
